Healthy Eating

I took hubby in for an outpatient procedure this morning, and rather than wait around for 3 hours, I ran a bunch of errands.  One was a stop at Farmer’s Market.  Here’s my haul:


Lunch was zucchini and mushrooms steamed with a bit of butter and Mrs. Dash spicy seasoning, a Braeburn apple and a banana.  

I don’t think I’ve ever had a Braeburn apple before, but it must be the one they use for  apple juice.  It was a bit musher than I like my apples, but it had a delicious sweet flavor.  A bit of internet research shows this apple was developed in New Zealand and is now one of the top 5 apples for  commercial production.
